Ensemble Theatre Company Presents: Dark Road

Walking Club – Langley City
- What: A recreational walking group for a social walk around Langley. No pre-registration necessary, just show up with your walking gear and a positive attitude. Pets are welcome but some of the trails may not be suitable for strollers and scooters. The group walks rain or shine so dress for the weather.

Kits in the Park
- What: Kits in the park is a free play-based program in Connaught Park, running on Monday and Friday mornings throughout the summer. Featuring playground, crafts, songs and stories, and perfect for families with young children. No registration necessary, this program is co-operatively presented by Kitsilano Neighbourhood House, West Side Family Place, and Kitsilano Community Centre.

Free outdoor movies in Stanley Park – The Lion King

- What: The Evo Summer Cinema Series presents the animated classic on a four-story inflatable movie screen showing film classics and modern blockbusters. Please bring your own blankets and/or lawn chairs and, since it’s a family-friendly event, smoking or alcohol is not permitted. Moviegoers are encouraged to walk, take transit, or bike to Stanley Park for the shows – there will be a bike valet service offered on site each night too.

Home Made Home: Lululiving Open House
- What: As part of the exhibition currently on display at Richmond Art Gallery, Germaine Koh’s newest work, a 160 square foot tiny house will be open to the public every Tuesday and Saturday. A fully functioning small home becomes a platform for public dialogue on the locally and globally relevant issues of housing and accessibility.

Starlight Theatre at Lansdowne Centre – The LEGO Ninjago Movie
- What: Take a trip back to the days of poodle-skirts, greased hair, and doo-wop music – the Drive-In Movie Series returns to Lansdowne Centre for its third year, presented by Fresh Air Cinema. Enjoy The LEGO Ninjago Movie on a giant outdoor screen. Take a drive and cuddle up, or bring a blanket and lawn chair and settle in. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis (first 200 vehicles), and the movie audio will be broadcast over FM radio. Keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event, so smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited.

Vallea Lumina
Foresta Lumina/Moment Factory
- What: Vallea Lumina is an immersive, light-up night walk created by Montreal-based entertainment studio, Moment Factory and Whistler’s very own “The Adventure Group.” The 1.5 km walk is staged at Cougar Mountain. Located just eight minutes north of Whistler Village, the night walk uses the lush rainforest and a stunning array of mountain and valley views as the backdrop.

- What: Vancouver is getting a whole new free outdoor movie series as šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (formerly Vancouver Art Gallery’s North Plaza) is set to play host to Summer Movie Nights on the Square. Fresh Air Cinema’s large, four-storey inflatable screen will pop up, creating the perfect urban environment to enjoy Zootopia surrounded by the concrete jungle – just be sure to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets.

Cultus Lake Summer Nightslide Concerts 2018

- What: You can now slip and slide later and later into the night this summer, with nighttime sliding at BC’s biggest waterpark. Separate from their daytime operation, the summer nightslide runs from 8 pm until midnight and includes several live bands playing through the course of the evening. On Friday, July 20, Swamp Honey, Pleasant Trees, and Ezra Kwizera will be performing. Artists on Friday, August 17 include the North Country Gentleman and Terrance Richmond. Admission to Cultus Waterpark’s Summer Nightslide costs $22 per person (plus tax) and is considered to be separate from regular admission purchase. Visitors must enter the waterslide before 9:30 pm as late entry will not be permitted.
