The 54th Annual Juno Awards

What: The 54th Annual Juno Awards will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Rogers Arena, presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).

Canada’s largest celebration of music includes festivities across the city, a Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction, and Michael Bublé hosting and performing during the star-studded event.

The Juno Awards will also induct Canadian pop punk rock legends Sum 41 into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during a special presentation. The live broadcast performance is also set to be the group’s last.

Eastside Flea – Spring Fling Market

What: Eastside Flea features dozens local vendors offering a variety of items, including handmade goods and vintage clothing, collectibles and plants, artisan foods and more. Each event will also have food trucks on-site, beverages being served, and a photo booth.

The Perfect Bite

What: Time to pick up your magnifying glass, detectives! An official Netflix murder mystery dinner is coming to Vancouver, and you’re invited to take a bite out of crime.

Secret City Adventures is collaborating with Netflix on the event, which will see guests watching a murder case unfold while deciphering clues. Of course, they will also enjoy a delicious dinner that is simply to die for.

The Magic Festival

What: Get ready to be astounded as The Magic Festival returns to New Westminster this week. Catch world-famous magicians like Shawn Farquhar with 52 & You at Hidden Wonders, cheer on the next big star as Vancouver Magic Circle presents the Children’s Magician of the Year competition, and more.

11th Annual Curry Cup

Curry Cup

What: Curry Cup will see 10 of the city’s top chefs compete to create the best curry, which guests will then get to try and cast their vote for their favourite dish. Your ticket includes beverage and dessert samples during the event.

Curries will be judged by some of “Vancouver’s foodie elites,” including chefs, who will determine the winner based on criteria of plating, flavour, and cultural knowledge.

Cambodian Rock Band

What: The Arts Club presents Cambodian Rock Band, a dark-humour, genre-defying play about a Khmer Rouge survivor returning to Cambodia decades later just as his daughter is about to prosecute one of the country’s worst war criminals.

A live band will bring classic Cambodian songs and contemporary Dengue Fever hits to the stage as the play travels back and forth in time and showcases the enduring power of the human spirit and music.

Media Res Gallery – Henna Night II / Shabe Kheena II by Hangama Amiri

What: Vancouver’s Iranian Visual Arts (VIVA) Alliance is hosting its inaugural exhibition at Media Res Gallery: Henna Night II / Shabe Kheena II by Afghan-Canadian artist Hangama Amiri. The acclaimed artist is known for her textile wall hangings portraying how women’s lives are influenced by ideas of gender and social norms in Afghanistan and beyond.

Henna Night II / Shabe Kheena II features artworks from an ongoing series with scenes from traditional Afghan pre-wedding rituals that speak to themes of nostalgia and loss.

What: The Let’s Hear It Live Juno Block Party will showcase a variety of established Canadian talent and emerging artists on the TD Main Stage. Attendees will enjoy performances by local and Juno-nominated artists, discover a night market with local vendors and delicious food, and more.

The block party is just one of the events planned for Vancouver during the Junos season. There will also be an Indigenous business of music workshop, a music therapy session, an Indigenous storytelling circle and music industry mixer, and a lunchtime concert series at The Carnegie Centre.

Junofest

What: JUNOfest presented by CBC Music is bringing more than 100 artists from across Canada to Vancouver on March 28 and 29. The festival will feature Juno nominees, acclaimed performers and rising stars from every genre at venues across the city.

Just a few of the artists you can catch during the first day of Junofest 2025 include Vancouver rapper Teon Gibbs, femme-powered hip hop group NADUH, and CBC Searchlight Competition winner Desiree Dawson.

On Saturday night, the lineup of talent includes Juno nominees Hey Ocean!, Polaris Music Prize winner Cadence Weapon, and Hush Music Party.

Dan Savage’s HUMP! Film Festival

What: The HUMP! Film Festival is a celebration of creative sexual expression. Head to the Rio Theatre to enjoy a carefully curated program with a cornucopia of body types, shapes, ages, colours, sexualities, genders, kinks, and fetishes, all united by a shared spirit of sex positivity.

After the show, guests can vote in categories like Best Humor, Most Creative, and Best in Show, to help award $10,000 in cash prizes.

BC Gin Festival

What: The BC Gin Festival will have almost 200 varieties of gins from dozens of local and international distilleries at the 2025 event. There will also be live music and delicious food served up for guests to enjoy.

The festival is brought to us by the producers of the Indian Summer Festival and will be held at the historic Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Center Exhibition Hall.
