What: Let your tastebuds start tingling! Vancouver’s annual celebration of Italian culture, heritage, and community returns this spring.
Thousands of Vancouverites will take over Commercial Drive as it transforms into a 14-block car-free zone. There will be plenty of merchants, food vendors, and entertainment to discover throughout the day-long event.

Queer Arts Festival
What: Queer Arts Festival is an annual artist-run transdisciplinary celebration in Vancouver. This year’s event is themed Portals and includes a community art show, drag a queer clothing swap, live concerts, and more throughout the month of June.

Public Disco Granville Island Block Party
What: Dance your way into that summer feeling with Public Disco. The free all-ages dance party features live music, DJs, and dance performances on Granville Island. There will also be a food market and a kids’ zone at the Block Party.

Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal

Crystal by Cirque du Soleil
What: Crystal, Cirque Du Soleil’s first-ever acrobatic performance on ice, is coming to the Pacific Coliseum for six shows from June 4 to 8, 2025.
The first Cirque production to use real snow will showcase banquine, aerial straps, hand-to-trapeze, juggling, hand balancing and more during each performance.

Car Free Day Surrey
What: The fourth-annual Car Free Day Surrey, hosted by the Newton Business Improvement Association, is happening on Saturday, June 7, along 137th Street. The day-long event will feature live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and more.
Of course, a street party wouldn’t be complete without delicious food, and guests can look forward to treats like burgers, mini donuts, kettle corn, and spiral potatoes from a variety of local vendors.

Cultus Lake Waterpark

Cultus Lake Waterpark
What: Cultus Lake opened in 1984 and is locally owned and operated. Adventurous sliders will want to slap on the waterproof sunscreen and enjoy the Valley of Fear, Bazooka Bowls, or the Freefall tower. Families and young ones can also experience Tots’ Castle, Pirates Cove, and Western Canada’s biggest waterslide, the Colossal Canyon family raft ride.
After you’ve built up an appetite, grab some food from the in-park vendors, including the pineapple Dole Whip soft serve, poutine plunge, and cheeseburgers. Then relax at one of the 150+ shaded and sheltered picnic areas.

Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site
What: Doors Open Richmond is presented by the Richmond Museum and is a weekend-long, city-wide public celebration of heritage, culture, and the arts. These include museums, cultural organizations, farms, artist studios, faith-based institutions, civic buildings, and more.

Small Shop Market – Summer Markets
What: Small Shop Market hosts summer markets at Fort Langley Community Hall to help you get ready for the new season. Meet dozens of vendors and local makers on Saturday, June 7 and Saturday, June 28, with items ranging from home decor, jewelry, pet treats, handmade candles, artisan snacks, and more.
There will also be live music, food trucks, and a chance to win prizes during the free event.

Hats Off Day
What: The long-running free festival, which is called Hats Off Day because it’s a day for local businesses to “take their hats off” to their community, features live performances, kid-friendly activities, a show and shine, and, of course, plenty of delicious food.
Organized by the Burnaby Heights Merchants Association, as well as the Hats Off committee and the Burnaby Heights community, the 12-block event is expected to draw up to 50,000 visitors to the area.
