12 epic Vancouver concerts to look forward to this spring

Some of music’s biggest stars are coming to Vancouver this spring, and we’ve got the lowdown on the concerts you need to check out.

Here are 12 great shows coming to town this upcoming season, including AC/DC, the Junos, Insomnia Fest, and more.

The Juno Awards

What: Junofest, presented by CBC Music, is bringing more than 100 artists from across Canada to Vancouver on March 28 and 29. The festival will feature Juno nominees, acclaimed performers and rising stars from every genre at venues across the city.

Just a few of the artists you can catch during the first day of Junofest 2025 include Vancouver rapper Teon Gibbs, femme-powered hip hop group NADUH, and CBC Searchlight Competition winner Desiree Dawson.

On Saturday night, the lineup of talent includes Juno nominees Hey Ocean!, Polaris Music Prize winner Cadence Weapon, and Hush Music Party.

AC/DC

What: AC/DC’s North American tour is in support of the iconic band’s 2020 album, Power Up. It was the group’s third number-one debut on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for three Grammy Awards.

Vancouver fans can look forward to hearing Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bass player Chris Chaney playing some of the group’s biggest hits.

Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert

What: Calling all benders! An Avatar: The Last Airbender concert experience is coming to Vancouver, and fans won’t want to miss it.

The live symphony performance, presented by Nickelodeon, GEAlive, and Senbla, is taking place at The Orpheum on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Music from the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series will be performed by a full orchestra during each world tour stop as beloved scenes play on a giant screen.

Insomnia Festival 2025

What: Insomnia Festival returns to the TRADEX in Abbotsford on Saturday, March 22, and the lineup includes some of the world’s biggest DJs and EDM stars.

This year will feature Alesso, Alok, KSHMR, Ben Nicky, and Cosmic Gate. Guests can also check out the new Basszone Stage showcasing Rooler and Lil Texas.

Kylie Minogue

What: Music superstar Kylie Minogue is coming to Vancouver on her biggest world tour in over a decade. The two-time Grammy winner is bringing the Tension Tour to Pacific Coliseum on Saturday, April 26.

The Princess of Pop has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and is Australia’s highest-selling female recording artist. Minogue was selected as one of Time’s most influential people in 2024 and is also beloved for hits like “The Loco-motion,” “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” and “Love At First Sight.”

The Beach Boys

What: The Beach Boys’ Endless Summer Gold Tour announcement coincides with the news that co-founder, lead singer, and lyricist Mike Love has been nominated for induction into the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Love has written or co-written some of the most well-known songs in pop music history, including “California Girls,” “I Get Around,” and “Kokomo.”

The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million albums, and their founding members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. They also released a self-titled documentary on Disney+ in May of this year.

Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival

What: The Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival series will host two huge events this spring.

First up is North Vancouver at the Shipyards on Friday, April 11, followed by Fort Langley Park on Saturday, May 17.

At each festival, there will be more than 60 drinks from local favourites like Dageraad, Backcountry Brewing, Trading Post Brewing Co., and Dead Frog Brewery.

The events will also bring food trucks and other refreshments, like local cider, kombucha, seltzer, and wine. Festival-goers can also expect some fun activities like lawn games and beer pong.

Public Disco and VCBF’s Blossom Block Party

What: The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival (VCBF) is just around the corner, and we’ve got the details on a massive event you need to add to your calendar.

Public Disco and VCBF are teaming up to host the Blossom Block Party on Saturday, April 5, in Downtown Vancouver.

The free, all-ages party will take place at Dunsmuir Patio at Bentall Centre, with all-vinyl DJ sets, family-friendly activities and interactive art in celebration of the city’s beautiful blossoms.

Nelly

What: Lace up your Nike Air Force 1s and pull out your grillz because Nelly is coming to Vancouver on his latest tour and bringing some big stars along for the ride.

The Where The Party At Tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Nelly’s debut studio album, Country Grammar, will take over Rogers Arena on Thursday, April 24. Joining the three-time Grammy winner on all-Canadian dates are fellow hitmakers Ja Rule, Chingy, and Jermaine Dupri.

The 54th Annual Juno Awards

What: The 54th annual Juno Awards will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Rogers Arena, presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).

Canada’s largest celebration of music includes festivities across the city, a Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction, and Michael Bublé hosting and performing during the star-studded event.

The Juno Awards will also induct Canadian pop-punk rock legends Sum 41 into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during a special presentation. The live broadcast performance is also set to be the group’s last.

40th Annual Vancouver Jazz Festival

Coastal Jazz

What: The 40th annual Vancouver International Jazz Festival is returning to stages all over the city from Friday, June 20, to Sunday, June 29.

The full lineup of events will be shared by the Coastal Jazz & Blues Society over the upcoming weeks. To get music lovers jazzed about this year’s fest, organizers announced the first two performances in this summer’s legendary lineup.

First up are headlining performances by Grammy-winning bassist and composer Richard Bona and his Asante trio on Monday, June 23, and world-class guitarist and composer Bill Frisell with Thomas Morgan and Rudy Royston on Tuesday, June 24.
