The Cambie promises 'non-stop party' between now and its closing date

By now – unless you’ve been living under a rock – you’ve surely heard that Vancouver’s iconic Gastown pub The Cambie is permanently closing.

News first broke on Friday, and a few days later its owner revealed the historic building was sold as a result of ongoing divorce proceedings.
While most of Vancouver has been extremely bummed to hear the pub is permanently shuttering on November 30, 2019, the staff at the bar aren’t going down without a party.
On The Cambie’s official Instagram account, staff shared a message that said “all good things must come to an end.”
And while they agreed it was sad, the message proclaimed it would be “a non-stop party between now and November 30.”

The statement also mentioned the new owner intends to do an extensive renovation, so the iconic tables will be up for sale at a silent auction once The Cambie closes for good.
Loyal patrons can expect nostalgic specials like the $10 burger brew and some seriously good times before it closes this fall.
Be sure to stop by for a drink (or three) and make the most of the last five months of The Cambie’s operation.
All good things must come to an end, and as such we are sharing the news that The Cambie Bar and Hostel is closing its doors for good this fall.
Due to the sale of the building, the new owner of the building intends to do an extensive renovation. The Cambie Bar and Hostel therefore, will officially close its doors on November 30, 2019.
The Cambie will be sorely missed. The Cambie is not just a bar or hostel, it is a piece of the city and will always have a place in our hearts. The staff of this institution are in every sense a family & will be seeing the pub through to the November closure together.
With our time left together, please join us to reminisce and celebrate. We will be offering up a non-stop party between now and November 30th, as well as a range of nostalgic specials including the famous $10 burger brew. In addition, towards the end of the year the iconic tables will be for sale via a silent auction, and all proceeds will go to a recognized local charity yet to be chosen.
