A young man has been fined after he was caught riding between two SkyTrain cars, Transit Police says.

Sgt. Clint Hampton, Media Relations Officer, tells Daily Hive that the incident occurred on Thursday around 5:45 pm.

The suspect in question was found on the Expo Line between the Main Street — Science World SkyTrain station and Broadway station.

“Transit police dealt with a young man who made the foolish decision to ride on the outside of the SkyTrain, between two train cars,” he says in an email. “This is extremely risky behaviour and poses the danger for major injury and even death.”

Although no footage is available, Sgt. Hampton says that the individual was given a $115 fine for “riding outside of a transit vehicle,” in accordance with Transit Conduct and Safety Regulations.
