'Shogun' cast gives special shoutout to Vancouver bar at SAG award show

In case you didn’t know, the Disney+ show Shogun was filmed largely in Metro Vancouver. So naturally, the cast grew quite familiar with Vancouver and the surrounding cities during filming and had plenty of time to explore.
So, when asked about their favourite Vancouver restaurants at the Screen Actors Guild awards, the cast definitely had some spots to shout out.
While actress Anna Sawai, who plays Toda Mariko in the show, stated how much she loved Bowen Island, actor Tommy Bastow, who plays Father Martin Alvito, gave a special shoutout to the Two Parrots Bar and Grill.
“We had some really good spicy wings and beer,” said Bastow. “I was a regular there.”

In addition to Two Parrots, the cast was seemingly in unanimous agreement that they all loved Tim Hortons.

These celebs aren’t the only ones who are fond of the coffee chain, though. Recently, internet star Trisha Paytas fell in love with Tim’s during her visit to Canada. However, not everyone is a fan of the chain, with Steve Martin criticizing its grilled cheese sandwich.
Based on James Clavell’s novel of the same name, Shogun is set in feudal Japan in the year 1600 when a European ship finds itself marooned in a fishing village. Recently, the show won a record-setting 18 Emmy awards.
