New bakery specializing in salt bread opens in Vancouver

Salt bread has been all the rage in Vancouver, and a new spot for the viral treat has just opened its doors in the city.

Called Salt&, the new bakery is opening in the space previously occupied by Footo Croissant and Dulcey Patisserie.

The team shared the soft opening announcement on its Instagram.

“Since it’s our very first time, we might be a bit clumsy and our menu might be a little limited for now,” wrote the bakery. “While we wanted to wait until everything was absolutely perfect, we just couldn’t wait any longer to say hello to our neighbors, so we are gently opening our doors.”

Here, the team is serving a selection of specialty salt bread, from flavours like mocha to matcha cream, ham and cheese and more. You can also find a variety of coffee and matcha drinks, like an iced mango matcha latte.

The bakery shared that its menu is currently limited while it’s in its soft opening phase but to expect more varieties soon. It’s also encouraging folks to visit and to give the team honest feedback.

“Even if we are a little lacking, we’d love for you to drop by, try our fresh bakes and drinks, and guide us with your warm support,” added Salt&.

Salt& softly opened its doors on Friday, July 10 and is open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
