The 'only oyaki store outside of Japan' has just opened in Vancouver

Following the launch of the first vegan omakase in Canada, a new spot offering Japanese plant-based oyaki is set to open in Vancouver, and it claims to be the “one and only oyaki store outside of Japan.”
Introducing Sai Plant Deli, brought to us from the same team behind Vegan Pudding Co.
The new spot specializes in oyaki, a cozy dumpling from the mountains of Nagano (which is also the hometown of Sai Plant Deli’s owners).
“The hand-crafted comfort food is filled with delicious, wholesome goodness and pan-seared until golden with a light crisp on the outside and soft, fluffy dough inside,” described the restaurant.

The restaurant serves oyaki with fillings such as spicy potato and pepper, classic eggplant miso, cheesy ākeema,ā stir-fried garlic greens, and sweet pumpkin and butter bliss.
“Perfect for snacking on the go or when you just need a little pick-me-up ā and yes, they’re completely plant-based,” added Sai Plant Deli.
