Budget-friendly noodle restaurant closes its doors in Vancouver

When a restaurant has an entire menu with bites under $10, the people of Vancouver tend to get excited. So, when Oyo Korean Noodles first opened its doors, many flocked over to give it a try. Unfortunately, the noodle shop has now closed its doors.
Oyo served a variety of dishes all under $10, like Soyo Noodles, Tteokbokki, and Beef Dumplings. The spot operated in Pokerrito at 991 Hornby St., found through two tiny doors at the back of the restaurant.
Inside, there was very limited seating, with only three stools for people to sit at the counter if they decided to eat in.
We visited the spot back when it first opened and were impressed by the flavour and freshness of every dish.
An official announcement of the closure has yet to be made by the restaurant, but it is currently listed as closed both on Google and in its Instagram bio. Additionally, it’s listed as “Gone Out of Business” on the Vancouver business licence open data portal.
