It’s that time of year again, and in order to not let your best Lederhosen go to waste, we invite you to raise a glass because Oktoberfest in Vancouver is almost here.
This year there are a handful of awesome events in or around the city that urge festival-goers to come hungry, thirsty, and in their best Oktoberfest gear for this annual celebration of all things German.
Here are all the can’t-miss Oktoberfest events happening in and around Vancouver.
Parallel 49 Brewing Oktoberfest Party
Parallel 49’s Oktoberfest party is going down on Saturday, September 21st from 2 to 10 pm. Expect a live polka band, traditional German snacks like pretzels, and seven different beers on tap.

BREWHALL Oktoberfest
BREWHALL’s Oktoberfest event starts September 23 and runs for two weeks. It will feature traditional food and drink features to various games and contests. On each Saturday of the festival, BREWHALL will be hosting a costume contest starting at 8 pm. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best lederhosen or dirndl for the chance to win a $50 gift card.

Wünderbar ‘Oktobeerfest’ Pop-Up at Bells & Whistles

Menu specials like warm pretzels with tangy honey mustard, currywurst, an Oktoberfest platter, and a custom-created Foothills Creamery soft-serve dessert will all be up for order.

Oktoberfest Brewmaster’s Dinner at Craft Beer Market
Head to Craft Beer Market on September 24 in celebration of the world’s largest beer festival over a German-inspired custom created menu. If you enjoy great craft beer paired with fresh local food, this is an event you do not want to miss.

Oktoberfest 2019 at the Hastings Racecourse
Celebrate the famed festival in style at the iconic Hastings Racecourse with traditional fare, exciting horse races, live music, and of course, plenty of beer.

Bawktobeerfest at Juke Fried Chicken
Much-loved fried chicken spot Juke is officially celebrating Oktoberfest with ‘Bawktobeerfest,’ a collaboration with Strange Fellows Brewing. Expect ‘Jukefest’ Lager brewed especially for the occasion, schnitzel ‘double down’ sandwiches, Juke-brats sausages, and more available for one night only.

Oktoberfest “Das Original” at the Vancouver Alpen Club
Head to 4875 Victoria Drive for one of the many dates this party is going down. There will be German food, beer, and live music all night long.

Another Oktoberfest
While this shingdig featuring beer and pretzels is a FREE all-day event, you can guarantee your spot by purchasing tickets for the festivities early. Enjoy four house-brewed German-style beers, along with a few special surprises.

The Dreadnoughts/Polka Time! Oktoberfest at The Cambie
At this event ‘Polka Time’ is from 4 to 6 pm, and The Dreadnoughts are on from 7 to 9 pm.
