Bakery known for its cheesecake to open a new Metro Vancouver location and people are excited
Fans of anything sweet and delicious in Vancouver have most likely heard of Oh Sweet Day! Bake Shop, located at 1706 E 1st Ave., Vancouver. But for those who haven’t, this bakery is best known for its shortbread, buttercream cakes, and cheesecake, which it claims are the “best in Vancouver.”
Now, the bake shop is preparing to expand further into Metro Vancouver with the launch of its second location in Port Moody.
“We just put out the sign yesterday, and weāve been getting lots of messages,” shared Oh Sweet Day! on Instagram. “THANK YOU! We are very excited!”

While an exact address for the new location has yet to be announced, on its story Oh Sweet Day! said it is located on St John’s and Grant Street.

Many people took to the comments of the announcement post on Instagram to share how excited they were about this new spot.
“Yaaaaaay more bakeries in Tri-Cities. We are in desperate need,” said one user.
“OH MY GAWD!!! YESSSS,” shared another.
“Christmas came mega early this year šš„,” added a third.
In response to a comment asking if Oh Sweet Day! is leaving its Vancouver spot to move to Port Moody, the bake shop confirmed that this would indeed be a second location and that it will continue to operate in Vancouver.
“We love the Commercial community!” said Oh Sweet Day!
An exact opening date for Oh Sweet Day! has yet to be shared, but the bake shop did tease that it hopes to open in Summer 2025.
