The Pie Hole – Burnaby
Ever since The Pie Hole opened their first storefront location on Fraser Street, there’s no longer a pie-shaped hole in our hearts. So we are excited to hear that Burnaby is officially home to the second location of this all-pie-everything bakery, and they opened their doors on Sunday, January 14.

Flip Side Desserts
Vancouver’s purple taro-everything cafe, Flip Side Desserts, is re-opening this month on Saturday, January 27 after some serious renovations. The Joyce Street cafe has been closed since mid-October, and while it does carry other flavours of its signature over-the-top sweet treats (buko pandan, mango, chocolate), nothing has exceeded the popularity of the bright purple tropical root vegetable flavour that they offer.
Address: 5538 Joyce Street, Vancouver
