20 kinds of bagel sandwiches: Wayne's is FINALLY open in a new location
Wayne’s Bagels is making a comeback, and that means you can get their bomb Montreal-style bagels in Calgary once again.
The local purveyor finally opened their new bagel bakery in the Beltline this month.

Technically, Wayne’s is “reopening” their doors in a new location – 831 10 Avenue SW. The bagel paradise endured an unfortunate fire early last year which forced them to close up their former Macleod Trail space.
Wayne’s is known for baking 14+ kinds of our favourite circular bread and their 20 types of stacked bagel-wich options (think Smoked Turkey, Montreal Smoked Meat).
Unlike its fluffier counterparts, Wayne’s dough rings are supremely chewy, smaller, and holier than the traditional NYC-style bagels.
These bagels are kettle boiled then baked in a wood-fired oven to provide the goods with a crisp crust that holds up all of the gooey cheeses, spreads, and meats.
Our personal favourite is the Morning Bagel smeared in butter, and decked out with back bacon and a poached egg, which also happens to be dripping with cheddar. If you’re craving brunch on a time crunch, get a grab-and-go Eggs Benny Bagel-wich.
