New sandwich and slice shop to open in former home of a top Vancouver pizza joint

There’s an argument to be made that two of the greatest foods to be invented are the sandwich and pizza, and now Vancouver will soon be home to a restaurant specializing in both.
Mortadella is the name of a new sandwich and pizza joint that will be opening at 915 Main St., which is the former location of the now-closed Pizzeria Farina.
“We hope you’re as excited as we are,” shared the restaurant online.

Not much is known about the new spot, other than it will be opening right by the new Vancouver natural wine bar and takeaway bottle shop, Grape Vibes.

However, we have a sneaky feeling that mortadella sandwiches might end up on the menu (and if they’re anything like the viral Nemesis Mortadella Supreme sandwich, we’re in for a treat).
