Michael Bublé enjoys iconic Vancouver meal for 51st birthday
Michael Bublé has time and time again shown his love for Vancouver’s local restaurant scene, and for his birthday he ordered one of the most recognizable meals from Metro Vancouver: White Spot’s iconic Pirate Pak.
“Today’s my birthday. I have the palette of a child but the free-will of a grown man. Less frosting. More fries. #piratepak #anothertriparoundthesun,” wrote Bublé on his Instagram.
“That’s how it’s done 😎 Happy Birthday matey 🏴☠️🍔” responded White Spot in a comment on the post.

The post comes just under a month after White Spot held its annual Pirate Pak Day, where it offered guests of all ages the opportunity to order a Pirate Pak served in a paper boat, with $2 from every purchase supporting Zajac Ranch’s programs for children and young adults with serious medical conditions and physical and developmental disabilities.
The B.C.-founded restaurant group has undergone some major changes over the last couple of years. First, at the end of 2023, we witnessed the closure of a White Spot location on Fraser Highway in Langley, due to the construction of the new Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension, with no plans for relocation.
Shortly after, White Spot closed its Park Royal location in March 2024. Then, in April 2024, White Spot closed its R + D Kitchen located inside The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby. Then, its location at CF Richmond Centre also closed after an impressive 35 years, and most recently, it also closed its location just outside of Surrey’s Central City Shopping Centre earlier this year.
But it’s not all closures for the restaurant group, as it has recently opened both a White Spot and Triple O’s location at YVR Airport. Additionally, it has also opened a concession stand at Nat Bailey Stadium.
