Iconic Vancouver pizzeria closes Granville location after 15 years

Megabite Pizza, one of Vancouver’s go-to pizzerias, has officially closed the doors to its Granville location.
“Dear Vancouver, thank you for every slice, every laugh, and every late night. Whether you found us at lunch or at 2 a.m., you kept showing up ā and we can’t tell you how much that means to us. It has been an honour to be your go-to spot on the strip for over 15 years,” wrote Megabite on its website.

The pizzeria also added that this is not a goodbye, but a “see you at our other locations.” Currently, Megabite operates a location on Commercial and Broadway, as well as outposts in Port Coquitlam and Burnaby.

This section of Granville has seen lots of change over the past couple of months, with the city’s first-ever Taco Bell opening its doors just steps from the now-closed pizzeria. Additionally, Dave’s Hot Chicken opened its first location just a couple of doors down.
