Vancouver's ultimate pickle celebration is returning this September

Picklefest is returning to Vancouver, and it’s bringing with it over 40 vendors offering all things pickled and fermented.
The all-ages event takes place on Sept. 12 at the City Centre Artist Lodge and will have plenty of dill-icious pickled goods, alongside fully licensed beverage selections and live music.
This will be the second year that Picklefest will be coming to our city, with last year bringing plenty of tasty pickled treats to try, from standard bread and butter pickles to pickle beer, dill ice cream, a pickle hot dog, and so much more.

“Picklefest is Canada’s most dillirious food party, celebrating all things fermented — a high-energy gathering of makers, flavour fanatics, and the pickle-curious,” wrote the festival on its website. “From Charlottetown to Victoria, we transform cities into tangy playgrounds packed with local vendors, creative collaborations, and small-batch brilliance. No two stops are the same — each one shaped by the community that hosts it.”
Picklefest is also known for its pickle contest, with five categories for people to enter, including best dill (vinegar-based), best kosher (naturally fermented), best spicy (any style), most creative — vinegar, and most creative — lacto-ferment. This is in addition to the award for best in show.
“Whether you’re perfecting grandma’s dill recipe or experimenting with wild ferments, this is your shot to shine. Winners will be announced live on stage at each Picklefest event, so get your jars ready to steal the show,” added Picklefest.
Tickets for Vancouver’s Picklefest start at $25 for general admission, with VIP Early Access tickets available for $35, granting folks access to the event an hour early.
