Signs for a new restaurant called Mandhras Cafe have popped up at the former home of The Greek’s Broadway location.

Located at 382 W. Broadway, the restaurant’s signs show that it plans to serve coffee, dosas, and soup.

“A new experience is brewing for you,” the restaurant has written on its sign. Past that, not much is known about Mandhras Cafe yet.

This particular stretch of West Broadway has seen plenty of changes over the year, with many restaurants having closed due to the continued delays of the Broadway subway project.

“With construction delays and ongoing disruptions, it’s become impossible for us to keep this location going until the SkyTrain is completed in 2027,” wrote The Greek at the time of its closure.

Heritage Asian Eatery, which operated in the same area as The Greek Broadway, also cited construction as the reason for its closure.

Additionally, Ramen One, the ramen restaurant with a focus on solo dining and located just steps from Broadway-City Hall Station, also closed its doors. However, it did not provide a reason for its closure.

Other restaurants have also felt major impacts from the construction project, including Fable Diner, which saw major decreases in traffic after the construction project closed the busy one-block stretch of East Broadway between Main Street and Quebec Street, where it is located, for four months.
