Lil Bird Sandwich Co. open inside Kafka’s Coffee on Main Street

Oct 8 2020, 7:11 pm

Lil Bird Sandwich Co. opened as a sando window a few months ago, and now, the popular neighbourhood concept is migrating inside Kafka’s Main Street coffee shop.

You can now find the handheld purveyor inside the 2525 Main Street location.

Lil Bird offers patrons delicious house-made sourdough sandwiches from Kafka’s head chef Nitzan Cohen, who is also behind the Mensch’s Jewish Delicatessen pop-ups.

Along with the change in format, Lil Bird is introducing a new fall/winter menu with new offerings such as the Garden Thief Pita made with oven-fried eggplant, red pepper, and zucchini ratatouille, Moroccan tomato sauce, lemon tahini, chickpeas and fresh herbs on a house-made pita.

There’s also the Cache Money Corned Beef Reuben, which is made of Cache Creek grass-fed beef, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and pickled cabbage on house-made marble rye.

Folks can choose to have their sandwiches on a house-made sourdough hoagie roll or sourdough loaf.

Kafka’s has also introduced seasonal Puff Tarts, which will rotate weekly.
