Canadian noodle shop chain Kinton Ramen has slowly but surely been making its slurp-worthy takeover of Metro Vancouver — and it’s showing no signs of stopping.

Kinton Ramen is known for its menu of comforting ramen bowls developed by Executive Chef Aki Urata. It currently operates over 40 locations across North America, with spots in Toronto, Calgary, and more.

The growing family of restaurants is preparing to open four new locations in Metro Vancouver this winter, the first of which softly opens its doors today, Dec. 18, in the Commercial Drive-Broadway neighbourhood.

Taking over the former home of Hon’s Wonton House at 1661 East Broadway, the 1,200 sq. ft. outpost will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight, offering dine-in, take-out, and delivery. Plus, the 26-seat restaurant will be expanding with an additional 14 seats when it opens its patio in Spring 2026.

Later in December, the chain will also be opening its first Burnaby location. This 1,080 sq. ft. restaurant is coming to the Gilmore district at 140-4112 Lougheed Hwy., with seating for 33 people.

Then, in the new year, Kinton Ramen is slated to debut two more locations in Metro Vancouver: in Richmond and Coquitlam.

The Richmond outpost will be opening at 7899 Templeton Rd. and will be 1,300 sq. ft. with 46 seats, and its Coquitlam location (the first Coquitlam spot for Kinton) will be opening at Sunwood Sq., also coming in at 1,300 sq. ft. and 38 seats.

Plus, folks on the island have something to look forward to as well, with Kinton opening a location in Victoria University Heights at 104-1520 McKenzie Ave.

Currently, Kinton operates multiple outposts in Metro Vancouver, including North Vancouver, Robson, and Surrey locations.
