New 11,000 sq. ft. restaurant with all-season patio to open in Metro Vancouver soon
We were excited when King Taps opened its first B.C. location in Kelowna in 2022, but we’re even more excited now that we’re getting one much closer to home.
King Taps shared with Dished that it will open its Willowbrook outpost on April 3 and that online reservations are available now.
The new location is huge, coming in at over 11,000 sq. ft and offering seating for 340 people. It features an interior lounge and dining space, an enclosed all-season patio, and an open-air deck.
King Taps told Dished that the space, which was designed by McKinley Studios, blends modern aesthetics with the welcoming atmosphere that King Taps is known for.
“The interior features organic textures, lush greenery, warm lighting, and a curated collection of incredible artwork from Canadian artists, including Graham Gillmore, Tyler Toews, and Jason Dussault,” said the restaurant.

The front-of-house will be run by General Manager Monty Sharma and a well-seasoned management team, while Chef Nik Bunting runs the kitchen. In total, over 200 full and part-time team members will work at this location.
“We’re hyped to bring King Taps’ signature vibes, food, and drinks to the heart of Langley. Our team is working around the clock to make King Taps Willowbrook a neighbourhood staple,” said Sharma. “Whether it’s brunch, lunch, Happy Hour, dinner, or late-night, we can’t wait to welcome guests to King Taps Willowbrook!”
And when it comes to entertainment, King Taps Willowbrook will house fourteen TVs and three projectors for all your sports-watching needs.

For those unfamiliar with the King Taps brand, the restaurant is best known for its family-share-style plates. More specifically, its Toronto locations are well known for pizza, which is made with hand-stretched, 48-hour aged dough fired to crispy, chewy perfection in specialty ovens imported from Sweden. It also serves brunch on weekends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Once open, King Taps Willowbrook will operate Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight.
King Taps first opened in Toronto back in 2017 and has since opened another Toronto location and its first B.C. spot in Kelowna. It also has plans for a two-storey, 10,000 sq. ft. flagship location in North Vancouver at the Lonsdale Quay.
