Vancouver's hottest new bar was named one of the most exciting to visit in the world

World’s 50 Best, known for its list of the 50 best restaurants worldwide, recently released a roundup of 10 of the most exciting new bars to visit across the globe, and a Vancouver destination has made the list.
June, which the team behind The Keefer Bar opened in early April 2025, was included on the list.
“The upstairs main dining area serves playful, herbaceous cocktails, with the Blue Fizz – a mix of vodka, calpico, blue banana and egg soda – already a local favourite,” said World’s 50 Best. “When it comes to food, June channels French flavours with West Coast sensibilities offering spiced crab madeleines, beef tartare and frogs legs. As summer approaches, the bar’s outdoor patio will open, embracing the Pacific Northwest sunshine.”
June has been one of the hottest bars in the city, drawing everyone, including numerous folks from the hospitality industry, during its first few months of being open.
From the ambient lighting to the music to the dapper staff uniforms of a grey blazer, crisp tie, and shiny new J pin, the room feels relaxed yet upscale, classic with a modern edge. Plus, with bites like the Beef Tartare with peppered egg yolk and potato chips, Scallops with citrus beurre blanc, and Pasta for Rachel (which is topped with a heaping spoonful of butter brought to the table in a wooden bucket), everything on the menu has been a hit.
In May 2025, June also opened a vinyl listening bar on its lower level called Lala. Here, you’ll find select dishes from June’s menu (including its Truffle Eggs, Crispy Frog Legs, Crab Dip, Beef Tartare, and June Burger) alongside classic cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere featuring a rotating selection of vinyl records.
