Popular Metro Vancouver park shines in new trailer for Jonas Brothers' 'Camp Rock 3'

Hollywood North is having a roaring 2026, and a popular Metro Vancouver park is the latest local destination to be showcased, this time in the trailer for the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming Disney film, Camp Rock 3.

Camp Rock 3, the latest film in the Disney musical film franchise, is set to debut on the Disney+ streaming service on Thursday, Aug. 13.

The trailer for the highly anticipated film dropped on Tuesday, and Barnet Marine Park on the shores of Burrard Inlet in Burnaby is centre stage to the action.

Photos of the set shared with Daily Hive last year show a giant Camp Rock sign at the historic park.

There were also canoes and kayaks by the lake, a classic car, and a huge crowd of extras, which can all be seen in the trailer released on the Disney+ YouTube channel.

A notice posted at the park last fall confirmed the production title as Rock the Boat, which Creative BC had listed as filming from mid-September to Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Camp Rock 3 tells the story of Connect 3, played by Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, who return to the iconic camp to find a new opening act for their major reunion tour.

Revelations and romances abound as the campers try to earn the chance to open for the terrific trio.

Jonas Brothers superfan Cala Ali ran into the two-time Grammy nominees in Vancouver and even got an autograph. She told Daily Hive that the experience was a real joy.

“I have been a Jonas Brothers fan since 2007, and I am so lucky to have their music be the soundtrack of my life,” Ali said. “They are truly the most down to earth, genuine and caring celebrities ever. They treat every fan as if they were their very own family.

“The Joe, Nick and Kevin you see on stage is exactly the amazing and caring human beings you get off the stage.”

The Jonas Brothers also took the time to check out Vancouver’s culinary scene while they were in town.

The “Burnin Up” trio was spotted dining at the then-newly opened restaurant Desi Indian Lounge.

“We were honoured to host @nickjonas @jonasbrothers last night; an evening full of memories and incredible flavours. Thank you for letting us share our food and hospitality that Desi is all about,” shared the restaurant on Instagram.

Vancouver will be spending a lot of time on screens soon, as The Last of Us recently transformed New West into an apocalyptic wasteland, and Adam Sandler and Willem Dafoe have been spotted around Vancouver during filming of a remake of a French thriller.

UBC is also heavily featured in the Amazon Prime series, Off Campus, and SFU’s Academic Quadrangle is standing in for an office setting in the Aaron Sorkin film, The Social Reckoning.
