B.C. has been a hot spot for travel this summer, and some major Hollywood celebrities have joined the ranks of those exploring all that the province has to offer.

The latest is Sonic the Hedgehog star James Marsden, who recently stayed at the Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge on Vancouver Island.

The two-time Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee posted a series of photos and videos to his Instagram account on Tuesday, July 14, showing off his vacation to his 1.8 million followers.

“Into the wild,” captioned Marsden in the Instagram carousel, headlined by a photo of the X-Men star onboard a boat on the lodge’s private lake.

Nestled along the stunning Bedwell River, Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge is a seasonal retreat for those who crave adventure without giving up some luxury.

From its one-of-a-kind tented lodgings to its dedication to nature conservation, every detail at Clayoquot Lodge is unforgettable — even the journey to get there, whether by a scenic 45-minute seaplane from Vancouver or a rugged 35-minute boat ride from Tofino’s shores.

Visitors at Clayoquot have a variety of activities to choose from, including horseback riding, canyoning, heli-hiking, or whale watching.

Marsden posted pictures of himself on horseback, getting views of orcas and bears, and even taking a dip in the lake.

“A pleasure to have you stay with us on Vancouver Island’s wild west coast,” said the resort in a comment.

Other fans chimed in to encourage the Jury Duty star to come back for more B.C. travel soon.

“You fit right in,” said one commenter. “It looks like you had a truly British Columbia experience. Come back anytime.”

“Welcome to Vancouver Island! We truly live in paradise here. Enjoy,” added another.

Canadian music icon Joni Mitchell and Almost Famous writer and director Cameron Crowe were also recently spotted at Ruby Lake Resort on the Sunshine Coast.
