Adam Sandler spotted playing basketball at busy Vancouver gym

The spring of Adam Sandler continues in Vancouver, with the comedy icon recently spotted playing basketball with locals at a popular downtown gym.
Ayhab Farhat, a Vancouver-based dunk coach, posted a video to social media of Sandler on the court at the Teck Resources Gymnasium at the Robert Lee YMCA.
The star sighting comes just days after the Happy Gilmore star stopped by Pepe’s Chophouse in Squamish to enjoy a steak.

“Balling with the boys,” wrote Farhat of Dunk Masters in his viral Instagram reel. “Good runs. Good energy.”
Sandler is seen playing a game of pickup basketball with several players in the video, showing off his defensive skills by boxing out the opposing team for any rebounds.
“Dang, bro, how many people can say they’ve hooped with a movie star?” asked one commenter.
“Umm, might be cooler than playing with an NBA player,” added another.
The 92,000 sq. ft. Robert Lee YMCA facility at 955 Burrard St. includes an aquatic centre, a large fitness gym, and other recreational spaces.

Sandler is in B.C. this spring filming a movie called Time Out, which is a remake of a French thriller, and stars alongside Willem Dafoe.
The film “follows Vincent, who, after being fired from his job, can’t bring himself to tell his wife and family. He spins a web of lies and creates an investment scheme, and the deception threatens to overwhelm his life,” the IMDb synopsis reads. Sandler will be playing Vincent.
Tourism Hope, Cascades and Canyons also celebrated another recent Sandler sighting, posting a photo of the Uncut Gems star posing with a group of locals for a selfie. The photo was provided by Yvonne Bobb.

“Adam Sandler was spotted right here in Hope, B.C., yesterday,” wrote Hope, Cascades and Canyons. “He was in town after wrapping up filming at one of our local locations, and a few lucky locals even grabbed selfies with him.”
“He’s been around B.C. this week filming Timeout with Willem Dafoe, and it looks like Hope made the list, too. No surprise here!”
Sandler has been in the province for a bit over the last year, as he was filming Happy Gilmore 2 around B.C.
He’s also been known to enjoy “morning coffee with the fellas” when he’s in Vancouver.
