Jimmy O. Yang goes on Vancouver dining tour, shouts out Richmond food court

Jimmy O. Yang has always been a fan of the Vancouver dining scene, to the point where he even wrote about his favourite restaurants in an article for Michelin back in 2024. Every time he’s in the city, he makes a point of shouting out all of his favourite eateries, and his most recent trip is no exception.
Yang is an actor and comedian best known for his work in Interior Chinatown, Space Force, and Love Hard. He was in Vancouver as part of his comedy show tour and performed four sold-out shows.

On Saturday, April 19, Yang hit up Pho 37, where he ordered a hearty bowl with an egg cracked in it.
“First order in Vancouver,” said the actor. After which, he posted a photo where he called Vancouver one of his fave cities.

But the good eats didn’t stop there. On April 22, Yang also shared that he had hit up the Aberdeen Centre food court, which he said was “basically Hong Kong.” While he didn’t specify which stall he ordered from, we know he ate wings and milk tea, alongside a feast of other tasty options. With so many great food court staples in the mall, we understand why he shouted out this foodie paradise.

Then, for dinner, Yang hit up Zakkushi on Denman, a cozy Japanese tapas restaurant serving up yakitori (grilled meat skewers) and sake.
