Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng spotted at much-loved Vancouver restaurant

Last year was full of celebrity sightings, and there was one major one to top off the year: Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng.
The duo were in Vancouver for their comedy tour, Hasan Hates Ronny | Ronny Hates Hasan, which took place at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Dec. 26.
After the show, the two went out for a meal with comedians Andy Haynes, Matt Richards, Dino Archie, actor Ludi Lin, and musician Br0wn Svm at The Lunch Lady.
“Phenomenal last meal w/ @ronnychieng hates @hasanminhaj crew,” wrote Haynes on an Instagram story.

Additionally, Minhaj and Chieng took the opportunity to take a photo with the staff as well.
“Thanks for coming by!!” shared Lunch Lady.

Lunch Lady is no stranger to the limelight, with many comedians like John Mulaney, Nick Kroll and Zach Galifianakis all having visited the restaurant.
Other celebrity spottings at the Vietnamese eatery include Seth Rogen, Bowen Yang, Tzi Ma, Benedict Wong, and Jimmy O. Yang.

The restaurant was also featured in chef Anthony Bourdain’sĀ No ReservationsĀ when he dined at Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh’s food stall in Vietnam.
In 2018, the restaurateur contacted Thanh, and their partnership began. It was then that the first steps were taken to bring Lunch Lady to North America, and in 2020, the restaurant opened. Since then, the team has also opened a Toronto outpost and is slated to open a location inside Vancouver’s highly anticipated Time Out Market.
