A popular video game-themed bar known for its Ryan Reynolds bathroom is returning to Vancouver
It was a significant loss for the Vancouver restaurant scene and video game fans when Glitch Bar & Games Room closed its doors last fall. However, when Dished popped in for one last visit before its closure, owner Trevor Poirier teased that Glitch 2.0 could happen. Now, Dished just received more information on the return of the fan-favourite bar and restaurant.
Glitch will be returning to Vancouver in the form of an extended pop-up at East Van Brewing.
“East Van Brewing owner Steve Jennings ran into us at a Canucks game in April, and when he heard about the landlord troubles we had at our old location, he said, ‘Let’s work on something together!'” shared Poirier.

The pop-up will be held for a minimum of six months and take place in the upstairs mezzanine area of East Van Brewing starting in early October.
Here you’ll be able to play a selection of games and indulge in its popular boozy slushie flights and candy fishbowl cocktails, all in its retro video game-themed concept (with just a touch of sports bar).
As for food, a new third-party food concept is expected to launch at East Van Brewing soon, so stay tuned for more information on that.
Plus, Poirier confirmed that the viral Ryan Reynolds bathroom will be making a return with “a new twist.”
