Six popular food businesses are teaming up for a two-week cafe pop-up in Vancouver

A first-of-its-kind pop-up is coming to Vancouver for two weeks, and it’s bringing together six popular food businesses to do it.
The Flavours of Hope cafe pop-up will be a collaboration between Mis Cazuelas Mexican Food, Sabor a Yucatan, Elaichi Patisserie, Kula Foods, Ruka Cocina, and Elbo Patties.
Here, they will be working side by side, selling each other’s products, and inviting the public to experience what the event is calling a “new kind of community cafe building friendship, collaboration, and storytelling through food.”
âEvery dish tells a story of strength, resilience, and new beginnings,â said Flavours of Hope Executive Director Trixie Ling. âFrom family recipes passed down through generations to exciting new creations that reflect everyoneâs journeys, each bite connects you to heritage, creativity, and a sense of belonging.â

Expect offerings such as fresh meals, frozen favourites, and pantry-friendly products that you can enjoy at the cafe or take home with you. Think warming soups, savoury wraps, empanadas, patties, pastries, horchata, and more.
“The Pop-Up cafe explores a new cooperative way to support immigrant and refugee food entrepreneurs in Vancouver, helping our communities reimagine sustainable models for community food businesses,” shared Flavours of Hope. “Everyone is invited to be part of this journey, enjoying good food, offering feedback and sharing in the experience of something truly unique.”
