Free block party with sips and eats coming to Mount Pleasant next week
Summer is slowly winding down in Vancouver, so it’s time to make the most of it with an epic street festival happening in Mount Pleasant next week.
End of Summer Block Party, hosted by the Mount Pleasant Business Improvement Area (MPBIA), is happening at 11th Avenue and Kingsway on Saturday, Sept. 20
The free community celebration features dining, shopping, kids’ activities, and live entertainment. And it promises to be a great way to celebrate the last weekend of summer.

“Block parties in Mount Pleasant are for everyone, whether you call the neighbourhood home or you’re visiting from across Vancouver,” said Sierra Morrison, Marketing & Event Manager for the BIA, to Daily Hive.
“From kids running around with cotton candy to friends catching up over a cheeky drink, local food, and music, it’s the perfect way to wrap up summer.”
The End of Summer Block Party will take place from 12 to 5 p.m. right outside of Sprezzatura Restaurant.
Vin Van
Guests can enjoy Italian bites from Sprezzatura and Farmhouse Restaurant, and Indian snacks from Chai Wagon.
There will also be a Vin Van Wine Bar pop-up and Main St Brewing beer on site. And all ages can enjoy cool treats from Kobo Ice Cream.
MPFM, DJ Jumbotron, and DJ Eclectik will spin vinyl sets throughout the afternoon as guests make buttons and enjoy cotton candy from the Community Policing Centre. Ride your bike down to register it with Project 529.
Mount Pleasant BIA
Several local vendors will also be at the End of Summer Block Party, including Blumen Florals, Stoxx Vintage, Mount Pleasant Makers & Menders, Matterhorn Records, and Progression Bouldering Gym.
