Edmonton Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl got married over the weekend, and it looked like an awesome party.

The German superstar tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Celeste Desjardins in what looked like a luxurious wedding ceremony taking place in the South of France. Lauren Kyle McDavid, Connor McDavid’s wife, shared a touching video to social media showing the happy couple sharing their first dance to The Teskey Brothers’ “Take My Heart.”

It looked like a weekend to remember for the Draisaitls as both Leon and Celeste looked over the moon in love with each other at every step. They got lucky with the weather as well, with the outdoor ceremony having nothing but a clear blue sky above them as the couple shared their first kiss at the altar.

Luckily for fans, Celeste shared multiple photos of the ceremony on her Instagram story, including that kiss and a look at her wedding dress.

Of course, no wedding is complete without an afterparty, and the Draisaitls did not disappoint. The party looked like an absolute rager that included a DJ spinning tunes in front of a custom-made “Draisaitls” red neon sign, and at one point, it looked like bubble guns were added into the fray.

Celeste and Lauren shared a few photos from the party.

It was a star-studded guest list at the wedding. NHLers like McDavid, Zach Hyman, Evander Kane, Troy Stecher, Ryan McLeod, Mattias Janmark, Tyson Barrie and even a few former NHL player, Sam Gagner, were in attendance.

Kane posted a photo of a group of players having a great time at the afterparty.

It’s a party that many hockey fans have been looking forward to ever since Draisaitl popped the question to Celeste last summer while picnicking on a Spanish beach.

Leon wasn’t the only Oilers player to get married this weekend, as Kasperi Kapanen also celebrated his wedding this weekend.

With the wedding now complete, the excitement for fans will now shift toward the upcoming NHL season, which is less than two months away from seeing training camp start back up in the Alberta capital.
