Elias Pettersson never ceases to amaze us.

The second-year Vancouver Canucks All-Star is no stranger to the highlight reel. But if you think Pettersson is fun to watch during games, you should see him in warmup.

Prior to Tuesday’s game in Tampa Bay, Sportsnet’s cameras were fixated on Pettersson as Caroline Cameron and Jason York set up the game.

Pettersson casually flipped the puck over a teammate before catching it on his stick, flipping it into the air, kicking it with his left foot, then his right foot, then tapping it in the air a pair of times, before finally letting it drop to his foot once again prior to shooting it into the net.

He kept the puck in the air while skating, doing it oh so casually.

Take a look for yourself:

Watching from the Sportsnet studios in Toronto, Cameron and York were both in awe.

“Oh, did you see that?” said York, interrupting Cameron. “Gee, that was good timing,” Cameron replied.

York: “I didn’t know he was gonna do that. Did we mean to do that?”

Cameron: “No.”

York: “That was awesome!”

This isn’t the first time one of Pettersson’s tricks has gone viral. He put a bow on his sensational rookie year prior to the last game of the 2018-19 season by doing this:

Pettersson’s ability to juggle isn’t confined to the ice with a stick and puck, of course. He famously displayed his ability to juggle balls on a unicycle back in Sweden prior to joining the Canucks.

As for his next trick? Perhaps it’ll come in the way of a lacrosse-style goal, as he has already told reporters “it’s a move I feel I can do,” before adding “I’ll probably try it next time I get a chance.”
