Explore Vancouver in an environmentally-friendly way this summer by taking an electric boat tour.

Westcoast Sightseeing announced today the launch of its electrically powered boat tours of top-Vancouver landmarks including Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, and Canada Place. The pair of new 12-passenger boats are 100% electric and have a 10-hour charge.

“We’re excited to launch Electric Harbour Tours and expand our commitment to a 100% electric fleet by 2023 from the streets to the water,” said Robert Safrata, CEO of WESTCOAST Sightseeing, in a release. “Our local and international customers love discovering new places and new perspectives and, as they explore, want to help protect our unique and spectacular west coast environment.”

The 45-minute narrated tours will take a deep dive into Vancouver’s history and passengers will learn about the city’s architecture, landmarks, and Indigenous history.

The super-quiet electric boats will travel around Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, and the Port of Vancouver, providing passengers up-close and stunning views of the North Shore mountains and the Vancouver skyline.
