Heads up, Vancouver: South Granville just got a new spot that specializes in North Vietnamese cuisine.

Crab Hot Lau shared on Instagram that it has opened a location in South Granville.

Here, patrons can enjoy all the same dishes that they’ve grown to love over the years, including its signature rice field crab hot pot and nem cua biển (square crab spring rolls made with special rice paper).

“Every dish we serve is a tribute to tradition — crafted with fresh ingredients, time-honoured techniques, and the warmth of home,” said the restaurant on its website.

“At Crab Hot Lau, it’s not just about cooking — it’s about telling stories through flavour. Our mission is simple: to serve honest, soulful Northern Vietnamese cuisine that brings comfort and connection — whether you grew up in Vietnam or simply long for something real.”

Crab Hot Lau Granville is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m.
