Celebrities have been dining all over Vancouver, with recent sightings including the Jonas Brothers, Heather Graham, and John Mulaney, all enjoying our local food scene. Even Vancouver-born actor and director Finn Wolfhard recently shouted out his favourite Vancouver cafe for its cinnamon buns.

Most recently, reality TV personality and model Ciara Miller visited Vancouver, and during her trip, she spent some time checking out the restaurant scene. Namely, Miller gave a glowing recommendation to none other than Cactus Club.

“I didn’t know Vancouver had food like this,” said Miller in her video. “I’ve underestimated Vancouver.”

During her visit, she tried multiple dishes, which she reviewed independently.

She started with the Ravioli and Prawn Trio, which features chef Rob Feenie’s signature butternut squash and mascarpone ravioli served with truffle butter, sautéed prawns, pine nuts, and crispy sage.

“Oh my god, this is unreal,” she said. “We gotta get some of this to go.” She also added that she wanted to eat it for breakfast the next day.

Then, Miller moved on to the Creole Crab and Spinach Dip, which is served with tortilla chips.

“Okay, it’s like a 6,” she said after taking a bite.

Next, she moved on to Chicken Tenders.

“Somebody said that these are the best chicken tenders in Vancouver,” she explained.

She ordered the chicken tenders with honey mustard, garlic aioli, and ketchup for dipping.

Miller thought the tenders were breaded very well, weren’t too thin, and, after taking a bite, “juicy as f*ck.”

“I ain’t being dramatic, that was really good,” she said.

To round out her Cactus Club experience, she ended the meal with a bowl of Rigatoni Bolognese. According to Cactus Club’s website, this meal consists of truffled pecorino, slow-cooked beef and pork ragu, rosemary, fennel chili crumb, and garlic crostini.

“Unreal,” she said. “The meat sauce is amazing.” She then proceeded to load up a piece of bread with more of the meat sauce.

So what did Miller think about her first Cactus Club meal? Well, she called it a 10/10 experience.

She also shouted out the manager, David, for being so sweet and nice, and said the service was “impeccable.”

Many took to the comments of the TikTok to share how much they also love Cactus Club.

“Cactus club is the bomb!!” said one user.

“Girl you need to go back for prawn crunch roll, lettuce wraps, spaghetti portofino and a peach bellini, TRUST!” said another.

However, many also added that Miller should visit some non-chain restaurants during her visit to Vancouver.

“Okay so Cactus Club is a chain based in Vancouver but their food is definitely above average – having said that there are a million delicious restaurants here in Vancouver – hope you get to try a few others!” said one person.

“Girl – you have to check out our one off restaurants! Elisa, odd fish, Chez celine etc,” said another.

“NOOO not a chain restaurant!!! Go to dovetail, bao bei, chambar, Joe Fortes, per se and the list can go on!!!!”

Miller is not the only celebrity who has raved about Cactus Club. Before one of his Vancouver shows, Canadian rapper Drake had peach bellinis delivered to his hotel room after dining in the restaurant just a few days prior.
