The Vancouver Canucks are holding their second online 50/50 raffle in support of COVID-19 relief efforts, beginning this weekend.

Tickets will be available online through the Canucks’ website, with the raffle open from Saturday, May 23 at noon until May 30 at 9 pm. The jackpot will also be given a boost of $42,080 from unclaimed jackpots from the preseason, the Canucks say.

Fans can select from one of four ticket pack options:

  • 3 tickets for $5
  • 7 tickets for $10
  • 50 tickets for $20
  • 150 tickets for $50

Last month’s online raffle was a smash hit with fans, generating nearly half a million dollars, with $248,848 going to organizations supporting community nourishment, mental health, and children’s support programming.

Rogers Arena has been used as a giant meal assembly line in recent weeks, with Canucks staff helping to provide food for the less fortunate, and that’s what the focus of the second raffle will be.

The latest 50/50 will benefit the Canucks’ Community Meal Program established to provide 3,500 meals per week to the Salvation Army and the Strathcona Community Centre on the Downtown Eastside. Funds will also support the Canucks Autism Network, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Canucks Place Children’s Hospice during the pandemic.
