'I've thought about it more than I should': Viral internet personality raves about Vancouver cocktail

We don’t need celebrities to tell us that Vancouver’s food and drink scene is top-notch, but it is nice to have a reminder every now and then.
So, when internet personality, musician, and comedian Keith Habersberger shouted out a very specific Vancouver cocktail on “Last Meal,” a YouTube series by Mythical Kitchen (a show where celebrities eat what they would want for their “final meal” while being interviewed by host Josh Scherer), we had to tune in.
The cocktail in question was The Blue Fig from Chambar, a roasted fig-infused Beefeater gin martini served with a side of blue cheese.

“I was on tour, and I had an extra day in Vancouver, and we went to this restaurant that was by our hotel because we wanted to treat ourselves cause we were there for one last performance,” explained Habersberger.
“This was ordered by my friend Brian, who opens for us, and it was so good, and he ate the whole thing so much so that for my second cocktail, I ordered it, and then I also had the whole thing,” he added.
He then explained that you’re supposed to take a sip of the cocktail and then have some of the blue cheese, going back and forth between the two.
“It was just a fun drink, and I’ve thought about it more than I should have thought about it,” he said.
Scherer then asked if this drink should be eaten with a spoon, which Keith confirmed.
“They had a teeny, tiny, fancy little spoon,” he said.

As for what Scherer thought of the drink, he said it was “such an insane combination.”
“It’s fun to eat a drink, isn’t it?” said Habersberger. “It’s hitting because the blue cheese is so strong and then you’re like, ‘Oh, I need something to relieve myself,’ and then [you have the] cocktail, which is also going to sort of burn.”
Many people were excited to see that Vancouver was mentioned when the teaser for this episode, sharing what Habersberger was eating, was posted to TikTok.

“Vancouver mentioned!!” said one TikTok user excitedly. Another responded, “Chambar represent!”
“I love a Vancouver mention,” said another.
“A cocktail from Vancouver is making me so 🥹🥹🥹,” added a third.
Those wanting to try the cocktail for themselves can visit Chambar at 568 Beatty St. in Vancouver.
