Super popular build-it-yourself hot pot restaurant opens new Vancouver location

Big Way Hot Pot has been taking over Metro Vancouver in a… well, big way. With locations opening throughout Metro Vancouver and beyond, there’s seemingly no end to the hot pot chain’s expansion. Now, Big Way Hot Pot has softly opened its latest spot at UBC.
“Get ready to indulge in the ultimate hot pot experience,” said Big Way on Instagram.

Located at 2155 Allison Rd., Vancouver, Big Way UBC will be open from 11 am until 2 am starting March 1, making this a hot spot for late-night study sessions on campus.
For those unfamiliar, Big Way Hot Pot is a personal hot pot concept. Customers are given a bowl and sent down the long line of different toppings, adding whatever they want. Then, guests approach the counter and weigh their ingredients (you pay based on the weight of your bowl). After selecting a soup broth and spice level, bowls are delivered to the tables for customers to enjoy. It also offers a selection of tasty bubble tea options.
Big Way UBC has been in the works for a while now, with the original opening date planned for September 2024, then pushed back to January or February 2025.
“Whether youāre craving our signature broths, fresh ingredients, or those perfect late-night bites, weāve got you covered! Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and get ready for some unforgettable flavours,” said Big Way.
Recently, Big Way has been opening new locations all across Metro Vancouver, including a spot in Richmond and its giant location in the former space of Hub Restaurant in New Westminster.
A Langley location is currently in the works with a March 2025 opening, and a Lougheed outpost is scheduled to open in April 2025.
