Award-winning gelato shop announces closure of Burnaby location

After a three-year run, Bella Gelateria has closed the doors to its location inside Brentwood Mall.
The award-winning gelato shop shared that it has officially closed its doors on Instagram.
“Due to circumstances related to our tenancy at the mall, we unfortunately [were] unable to reach an agreement that would allow us to continue operating there,” wrote Bella Gelateria.

The gelato team also went on to add how grateful they’ve been to the Brentwood community for their years of support.
“Serving our small batch gelato and fresh pastries to so many wonderful guests in the neighbourhood has meant a lot to our team,” wrote the shop.
But don’t worry, those still looking to get their fix of gelato can visit its four other locations, three of which are in Vancouver and the fourth in Metropolis at Metrotown.

The gelato shop is known for its inventive flavours, like Black Sesame and White Rabbit, and often has rotating monthly flavours. The number one best-seller, though, is Akbar Mashti, a traditional Persian ice cream flavour made with rosewater, pistachio, and saffron.
It has also won many awards for its gelato over the years, including the International Gelato Master of the Year Award in Italy — you know it’s good when it has that kind of stamp of approval.
