From a fried chicken and cocktail concept from a top Vancouver cafe to a new neighbourhood bistro, these are 5 must-visit new restaurants to check out.

Just months after Nemesis was named among the best coffee shops in the worldĀ and following the opening of the first standalone location of its bakery brandĀ Dope Bakehouse last year, the team has opened Bam Bam, a new all-day concept shaped by design, food, and the cultural moments that define North American nostalgia.
Expect the same creative bites and sips that Nemesis has been known for, including a focus on fried chicken and donuts. You’ll also find a selection of cocktails like the Apple Pie & Rye, Strawberry Shiso Negroni,Ā Pecan Pie Old Fashioned, andĀ Hot Honey Margarita, as well as cafe-style drinks including a Cherry Matcha,Ā Apple Pie Latte, Strawberry Chocolate Milk, and a range of cream sodas likeĀ Cherry Cola, Lemon Meringue, andĀ Apple Pie.

Touski

Touski
Touski describes itself as āa day-to-night neighbourhood bistro rooted in European influence.ā
“By day, Touski functions as a neighbourhood cafĆ© ā a “coffee bar to wine bar” concept ā serving thoughtfully sourced coffee, paired with light fare,” shared the cafe in an email.
But by night, the space transforms into a share-plate bistro, offering a rotating weekly menu built around French and British classics that are “reimagined with playful, generous touches and hyper-local ingredients.” Exact menu offerings have yet to be shared.
Currently, the space has softly opened its cafe offerings (available Tuesday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), while dinner service will softly launch starting April 7.

Eggstatic Vancouver

Opened at the end of March, Eggstatic is a Toronto-based chain that serves up a selection of Middle Eastern-inspired brunch dishes and has joined the list of now-open Vancouver restaurants.
“Whether you’re stopping by for a quick breakfast before exploring the city or settling in for a long weekend brunch with friends, Eggstatic Vancouver is your go-to destination for bold flavours and exceptional service,” added the restaurant on its website.

Octave Cafe

Vancouver’s music-themed cafe Octave softly opened its doors on March 31.
Located at 1328 Richards St., Octave is located at the former home of Matchstick Yaletown (which announced the impending closureĀ of all of its locations earlier this year).
“We treat coffee seriously. We measure carefully, dial in every day, and follow recipes with attention. Milk texture, extraction, and balance are important. Our goal is simple. Every cup should be consistent, clean, and balanced,” wrote the cafe.

Cream Pony Mount Pleasant

It’s been a long wait, but the day is finally here: Cream PonyĀ has officially opened the doors to its Vancouver location.
For those who haven’t been following along, around this time last year, the much-loved donut and fried chicken purveyor from North Vancouver shared that it would be opening in the home of the former Cartem’s Donuts, which closed its final location at the start of 2025.
Currently, Cream Pony Mount Pleasant is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
