2026 FIFA World Cup store in Downtown Vancouver still open, three months after the tournament ended

The 2026 FIFA World Cup has been over for more than three months, but one of Downtown Vancouver’s two official tournament merchandise stores is still open for business.
The store at 810 Granville St., near the southeast corner of the intersection of Granville Street and Robson Street, continues to sell remaining merchandise, with discounts of up to 60 per cent, as of today.
This store has now been open far longer since the 2026 FIFA World Cup ended than it was before the tournament began. It opened on June 5, just one week before the tournament’s kickoff in North America.
However, shoppers now have considerably less floor space to browse. Much of the store’s footprint has been cordoned off, leaving a smaller portion accessible for shopping.

The other downtown merchandise store, located inside CF Pacific Centre mall, closed shortly after the tournament.
The Granville Street location has remained open well beyond the timeline reported during the summer. In July 2026, Daily Hive Offside reported that the downtown stores were expected to continue operating until the end of that month, based on information provided by a store employee.
This temporary store took over the approximately 5,000 sq. ft. retail unit previously occupied by Daiso. The Japanese discount retailer closed that location in March 2024 and subsequently relocated to City Square Shopping Centre near Vancouver City Hall. Earlier this year, owner and developer Bonnis Properties listed the almost block-long property and the approved 800 Granville redevelopment plans for sale.
There is no confirmed store closing date, but it is unlikely to remain open for too much longer, giving Vancouver residents one last opportunity to pick up discounted FIFA World Cup merchandise.
Meanwhile, Vancouver is welcoming some of the world’s top speed skaters this weekend, with the ISU Short Track World Tour taking place at Pacific Coliseum over three days from Friday, Oct. 23 to Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026. The opening stop of the 2026/2027 season marks the first international short track speed skating competition in Vancouver since the 2010 Winter Olympics, bringing the sport back to the same arena where Olympic medals were contested 16 years ago.
