The time has finally come.

Four months after winning their first NBA Championship, the Toronto Raptors are returning to their home court this week.

And in honour of the special occasion, they’re throwing a huge pre-game party and everyone is invited.

On Tuesday night, the Toronto Raptors are hosting a free home opener Tailgate Party for the NBA Champions’ first regular-season game versus the New Orleans Pelicans.

Fans at the tailgate will witness and celebrate the raising of the championship banner to the rafters at Scotiabank Arena along with a historic pre-game ceremony which will include championship rings being handed to players, coaches, and front office staff.

With the help of The Raptor, Mayor John Tory will also officially unveil the Raptors Way signs as a part of the pre-game celebration. Following the team’s championship run, the city has ceremonially renamed Bremner Boulevard (between York Street and Lakeshore Boulevard West) as Raptors Way.

This year’s Nuit Blanche Raptors TwoFive installation “Peace to the Past, Reach For the Future,” created by artists Esmaa Mohamoud and Bryan Espiritu, will also be relocated inside Maple Leaf Square during the party for a special fan experience.

Ahead of the 8 pm tip-off, fans in the square will be able to enjoy pre-game programming with numerous giveaways, partner activations, a live DJ, and special guests. Fans in attendance will also have the chance to win exciting prizes including tickets to the game at Scotiabank Arena.

The one-of-a-kind viewing experience includes a huge new and improved 62 x 35 feet LED screen, which is 37% larger than the previous one in Maple Leaf Square for optimal viewing.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early as space for the Tailgate is limited.
