5 Toronto food events taking place this weekend: September 8 to 10

September is in full swing but in Toronto the summer food festivals continue.

This weekend, food events include a massive meatless market on the Harbourfront, street festivals celebrating local business while others showcase global cuisines.

Here’s a handful of delicious destinations in Toronto this weekend:

Veg Food Fest

The waterfront festival is an annual meatless meet-up for Toronto vegetarians. This year, look forward to 140 vendors hawking everything from “locally-made cashew ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, artisanal vegan cheeses, pizza, sausages, samosas, salads, and smoothies,” plus 40 hours of music and entertainment programming, panel discussions, and cooking demos.

Taste of the Kingsway

Over 150 exhibitors, demonstrators, and interactive exhibits will take over this stretch of Bloor West for a weekend in September. In addition to international foods, look forward to live entertainment and lots of family fun.
