A huge Israeli marketplace is popping up in Toronto this September

There’s more than one way to get your fix of Jew food in Toronto this fall.

Israeli vendors will replicate the vibrant sights, smells, and sounds of Jerusalem’s Shuk Machane Yehuda at Artscape Wychwood Barns for a single day in September.

Hosted by Ezer Mizion, the health organization for the world’s largest Jewish Bone Marrow Donor Registry, this all-ages event promises to transport guests to the famous Israeli marketplace without the 14-hour flight. Expect specialty foods (think halva and falafel), fragrant spices for sale, and vendors yelling to the crowds as they invite them to “taste their olives, dried fruit, candy, and spices.”

Better start practicing your haggling skills now.

Shuk Machane Yehuda Visits Toronto

When: September 10, 10 am to 6 pm
Where: Artscape Wychwood Barns, 601 Christie Street, Toronto
