Toronto Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the heart of downtown and sent one person to hospital early Wednesday morning.
The shooting occurred around 3 am near the corner of Queen Street and Spadina Avenue, according to police.

Officers arrived on scene after receiving reports of multiple gunshots, and upon arrival, found bullet holes in a surrounding building and multiple shell casings.
As a result of the shooting, a male was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police say.
Additionally, police say they believe three vehicles were involved in the incident.
