16-year-old boy allegedly shot in library parking lot

York Regional Police are looking for suspects in an alleged shooting that occurred on Monday, June 3, in the parking lot of Pierre Berton Resource Library in Vaughan.

Police say they were called to the parking lot on Monday at 1:44 pm following a report of a shooting. Officers report seeing no immediate signs of the shooting when they arrived, but closed off the parking lot of the library.

They later learned that a 16-year-old boy had been taken to hospital suffering a minor gunshot wound after he was allegedly involved in an altercation in the parking lot. The student attends Emily Carr Secondary School, which was on lockdown following the shooting.

The suspects are described as:

Four males, described as having with brown skin, and one of them is armed with a handgun.

Their vehicle is described as an older model silver car with a sunroof, possibly a Honda or Toyota.
