Historic Nova Scotia mansion sells for less than a condo in Toronto or Vancouver (PHOTOS)
A massive real estate property in Nova Scotia went viral recently due to its low cost.
The Eastern Valley Real Estate listing went up on Facebook on February 6, and was shared almost 40,000 times, with over 16,000 reactions on the post.
The manor, which is located in Avondale, NS (about an hour from Halifax), sits on more than 3-acres and has 7 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a library, sunroom, massive kitchen, formal dining room, all its original wood, a huge garage, and an outbuilding.
The cost for the entire property? It was listed for under $435,000.
And in this hot market, the manor has been sold.
Compared to real estate in Toronto, where detached homes now sell for over $1.5 million, and this comparatively tiny house selling for over $2 million last month, this Nova Scotia listing was a steal.
