These maps show which subway car will put you nearest to every station’s exit

We’ve all been on the subway, and accidentally walked out of the wrong door just to walk all the way back to a main exit.

And to date, there was no easy way of identifying how to get out of the TTC subway stations directly to a main exit.

But urban geographer Daniel Rotsztain has changed that.

Rotsztain created subway maps showing which car you should be on to be closest to a station’s main exits for Line 1 and 2.

“I’ve been thinking of making something like this for years,” he wrote on an Instagram post. “It’s not perfect, so consider this version 1.0, please let me know if you spot any errors. I hope it’s useful.”

And he has received a lot of thanks for transit users so far.
