It’s official: Chick-fil-A is opening its second Toronto location in Toronto tomorrow. This time, the eatery will be slingin’ chicken at Yorkdale Mall.
The Atlanta-based restaurant chain, best known for its mouthwatering fried chicken sandwiches, biscuits, and waffle fries, opened its first Toronto location in summer 2019.
The debut of the Bloor-Yonge eatery stirred controversy and was met by protests, due to its history of funding anti-LGBT groups, some of which oppose same-sex marriage and ex-gay conversion therapy.
Despite this, the fast-food chain boasts a loyal following and already operates more than 2,300 outlets in the USA, plus the 1 Bloor Street East spot, which frequently draws lineups out the door.
